1. First Korean group to get a viewership as high as 42.7% on Kohaku Uta Gassen with over 54 million live streamers. There were 54 million live streamers, more than the Korean population and twice as much as Grammy viewership. The NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen is a year end music broadcast in Japan that invites top artists based on their success and public popularity. TWICE is the first and only foreign girl group yo be invited for 3 consecutive years in a row. They are the first Korean artist to appear on the show since the 2011 edition of Kohaku. TWICE is also listed as one of the Notable Asian participants along with other Korean groups such as BoA, Girls' Generation and TVXQ. They're the only 3rd generation K-pop group who's in the list. 2.
